Job Description

A long term client of Quest Group in Midtown has an opportunity for a talented Collector with a
Customer Care approach! While you will be doing collections for their clients accounts, the ability to collect money while retaining a customer is the key to success! 



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties of the Collections Specialist include:
collection calls and/or correspondence in a fast paced goal oriented collections department. 
Providing customer service regarding collection issues, process customer 
refunds, resolve customer discrepancies and short payments.
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts.
Accountable for reducing delinquency ratio.
Enlist the efforts of team lead and supervisor to accelerate the collection process.
Must communicate & follow up effectively with customer accounts on a timely basis. 

JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Contact customers by telephone or email regarding delinquency and set up and/or re-establish payment arrangements 

  • Negotiate repayment, with customers by means of pay-off and/or a payment plan 

  • Must be organized and diligent to follow-up on customer’s promises to pay and payment commitments to ensure positive resolutions 

  • Perform Skip Tracing on customers, using company provided tools & resources 

  • Make recommendations to management to improve the overall strategies of collection efforts 

  • Work a flexible schedule which includes, nights and weekends when required 

  • Adhere to the FDCPA, state collection laws and work policies and procedures 

  • Research payment issues and resolve appropriately 

  • Display strong, written and verbal communication skills and high customer satisfaction 

  • Resolve customer issues without escalations 

  • Establish positive working relationships with peers and leadership 

  • Maintain customer confidentiality 

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years of Collections experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel
  • Must be able to present oneself professionally to customers, teammates and all internal and external partners
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Ability to work in high pressure environment
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail
  • Display strong, written and verbal communication skills and high customer satisfaction
  • Willingness to learn and receive new information
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
